Creating a Birthday Package

Birthday packages are built once and made available to whichever venues you choose. You do not rebuild them for every event.
Starting a new package
Birthday packages live in the Products Section
Click Add New to open the Create VIP Package modal.
Under Package Type, choose Birthday. The other option is Booth, which uses the same modal with settings suited to table service. See Creating Booth Packages.
Naming and describing the package
Package Name: what guests see when they choose a package on Guest Line. Keep it plain and comparable, for example Basic Birthday or Deluxe Party
Description: what the package actually includes. This is sales copy, so spell out the extras. A reserved area, a bottle on arrival, a cake, a dedicated host. Guests are choosing between your packages on this text alone
Setting party size
Minimum Booking Number: the smallest party you will accept on this package
Maximum Booking Number: the largest party you will accept
Both numbers are enforced on the guest side. When a guest opens the package on Guest Line, the party size field only accepts numbers inside your range, and the range is shown to them as they fill it in.
Use the range to separate your packages rather than to set one broad rule. A Basic Birthday at 2 to 10 and a Deluxe Party at 10 to 25 lets guests self select, so your team is not moving people between packages after the fact.
Ticket Assignment
Ticket Assignment is optional and it is where the free birthday guest rule lives.
Leave it empty and every guest in the party comes in on the event's default ticket type. Build tiers and Guestii splits the party across ticket types automatically, for example the first three guests free and everyone else on Early Bird.
Ticket types belong to a venue, so you need to select a venue before you can choose any. The section prompts you with "Select a venue first to choose its ticket types" until you have.
The full tier system, including the order guests are assigned in, is covered in Setting Ticket Rules for a Birthday Package.
Available At Venues
Choose which venues can offer this package, or use Select All to make it available everywhere. Only the venues you select will show the package on their Guest Line profile.
If you run several venues with different birthday offers, keep packages venue specific. A guest browsing one venue's profile should only ever see packages that venue actually runs.
