Understanding Birthday Packages

Birthdays are one of the most reliable revenue lines a venue has, and Guestii treats them as a product rather than a message sitting in someone's inbox. You build the package once, guests request it from your Guest Line profile, and you approve with the whole party landing on your guestlist on the right tickets.

The four pieces

• The package: what a birthday booking actually is. The name, the description guests read, the party size you will accept, and the ticket rules that decide who comes in free and who pays. Packages are built once and reused. See Creating a Birthday Package

• The request: a guest picks your package on Guest Line, enters their date of birth, their party size and every guest name, then submits. See How Guests Request a Birthday

• The approval: the request lands in your Requests tab with the full party attached. You review it, adjust the tickets if you want to, then invite the party to the event. See Approving a Birthday Request

• The arrival: the birthday guest receives a confirmation email with their QR code and their Guest Line Pass. The party sits on your event guestlist ready to be admitted at the door.

Set the party size you actually want

Every package carries a Minimum Booking Number and a Maximum Booking Number, and both are enforced on the guest side. A guest cannot book a package built for a group of ten as a table for two.

That turns your packages into a menu. A Basic Birthday running 2 to 10 guests and a Deluxe Party running 10 to 25 lets guests sort themselves into the right tier without your team redirecting anyone.

Build the free guest rule into the package

Most venues run birthdays on a give and take. The birthday guest and a couple of friends come in free, and everyone after that buys a ticket.

Guestii puts that rule inside the package. Set it once, for example the first three guests free and everyone else on Early Bird, and it applies to every party that books, whatever size they turn up as. Where birthdays show up

Once a package is live at a venue, guests can request it from that venue's Guest Line profile. Every birthday request arrives in the Requests tab with a Birthday badge, so you can filter them apart from guest list and booth requests and work them as their own queue. See Managing Requests.
