Offline Mode in Guestii
How does Offline Mode work?
Guestii’s scanner app is designed to work seamlessly, even with no internet connection. Whether you have full signal, patchy Wi-Fi, or no reception at all, you’ll still be able to check in guests without interruption.
What happens when Offline Mode is active?
When a device has weak or no internet:
All event data is stored locally on the scanner device
You can scan dynamic QR codes as normal
You can also manually tick in static Guestii’s
The app retains full scanning functionality, ensuring door staff are never held up by bad signal
What syncs when you're back online?
As soon as the device reconnects:
All check-in data, scan timestamps, and manual entries automatically sync to the organiser’s dashboard
No duplicates or conflicts — everything stays accurate
Do I need to enable Offline Mode manually?
No. Guestii handles this in the background. If your connection drops, the app automatically switches to offline behaviour — no action needed from the scanner.
Best practices:
Open the Guestii app and load your event before going offline
Keep the app open to avoid refreshing data mid-event
Use newer devices where possible for better performance and local caching
