Managing Promoter Limits

Promoter limits control how many guests each promoter can add to an event, broken down by ticket type. They're your main lever for controlling the door: how much free entry you give away, how much paid entry each promoter can sell, and who gets more allocation than others.

How limits work

Limits are set per promoter, per event, per ticket type. Every ticket type has its own limit, including Free. That means a promoter might have 50 Free spots and unlimited General Admission on Saturday, then a completely different allocation on your next event.

Once a promoter hits their limit on a ticket type, they can't add any more guests on that type for that event. Any other ticket types they still have allocation on remain open.

Setting limits

Limits are set on the event. When you assign a promoter to an event, set their limit for each ticket type available on that night. You can adjust these at any time, including on the night, so if a promoter is performing you can open up more allocation on the spot.

Checking a promoter's limits and usage

Open the event to see each assigned promoter's limits and how much of their allocation they've used. You can also click into any promoter from the Team page to see the events they're assigned to.

Tips for setting limits

  • Keep Free limits tight and paid limits generous. Your pay-to-free ratio is the clearest measure of how efficiently a promoter is filling your room

  • Start new promoters on smaller allocations and increase as they prove their numbers

  • Review limits event by event rather than setting and forgetting. Your best performers should feel the difference
