Campaigns & Commissions

What it is, why it exists, and how to set one up.

What is a Commission?

A Commission is what a promoter earns for every guest they bring through the door.

It can be a flat dollar amount per check-in, a percentage of ticket revenue, or a tiered rate that scales with volume. Commission is only calculated on checked-in guests, never on guestlist requests, which protects you from paying out on no-shows.

What is a Campaign?

A Campaign is how you package those commission rules and apply them to your promoter team.

It defines the commercial agreement between your venue and your promoters, who earns what, on which event, and over what payout cycle, all automated.

Think of Commissions as the rate, and Campaigns as the contract that wraps around them.

What it does

  • Tracks every guest a promoter brings in (guestlist requests, ticket sales, walk-ins attributed via promoter codes)

  • Calculates commission automatically based on check-ins

  • Helps you streamline payouts

  • Gives promoters real-time visibility into their earnings inside Guest Line

  • Keeps your finance reporting clean, no spreadsheets, no manual reconciliation

How to set one up

1. Go to the Campaigns tab in the Guestii Organiser web app.

2. Click "Create Campaign" and give it a name (e.g. "Thursdays, Q2 2026").

3. Choose your commission structure:

  • Flat rate fixed dollar amount per checked-in guest

  • Percentage share of ticket revenue per guest

  • Tiered escalating rates based on volume thresholds

4. Assign the campaign to an event (or a recurring event series).

5. Add your promoter team to the campaign. Each promoter inherits the commission rules automatically. Promoter needs to accept in Guest Line.

6. Set the payout cycle (weekly, fortnightly, monthly).

7. Activate the campaign. Promoters will see their live earnings inside Guest Line from the next event onwards.
